_CASA DEL TABACCO

la Casa del tabacco was born from the need to create a place that could be cradle for the activity of Trickster Teatro as well as a meeting and exchange point. It aspires to be a space of research and training and not to be a stage for performances.
The particular rural structure of the building leads us back continuously to the idea of the actor as a craftsman that is fundamental to the activity of Trickster Teatro.
la casa del tabacco is in fact an old rural house located in the Casate area in the town of Novazzano. The L shaped building was a farm house where the kitchen, storage rooms and stables were originally on the ground floor and directly accessible from the courtyard. On the first floor, accessible from an external staircase, there are the bedrooms facing an open gallery and a hayloft.
